A newborn infant with a string about its neck was discovered in a bureau drawer at the Hotel Haymarket yesterday. Police seek a well dressed refined young woman who named herself Olive Cummings of Salem Massachusetts when registering at 9 AM yesterday.
A newborn girl is saved at Relief Hospital Haymarket by surgeons after a cord was placed around her neck misposi tion. A hotel room visit and a missing mother prompt a police probe across hospitals while Salem police circulate a description of the unidentified young woman in a long black coat.
Advertises daily passenger service with berths at $9 on the Washington Sunset Route from 12 Milk and 382 Wash. st. The note implies unaltered daily operation except Sundays and addresses travel advisories.

In Bermuda Woodrow Wilson shows improvement after illness. He rests tonight and expects full recovery by tomorrow with his condition described as much improved.
Fire erupted shortly after 2 AM at Koopman’s antique shop 22 Beacon Street. The blaze felled by cellar origin, spreading quickly through the building and causing heavy loss of valuable Oriental rugs and antique furniture.
