Questionable Necessity and Jury Independence in R. Co. Case
The text criticizes a jury majority for labeling a minority as biased over a legal question of necessity. It argues the issue is delicate and argues the minority could doubt the necessity of delivering Sabbath papers by Mr Redding. It contends the majority’s strong stance undermines juror independence and endorses stern rebuke.
