Wild Auto Roars Through Medford Damage and Pursuit

A six passenger touring car owned by Hiram Cohen of Revere ran wild on Barehill road near Main street. It struck an elm, overturned trees, and a police officer was knocked to the brush while the car sped at high speed before Cohen halted the vehicle.

Man Killed on Crossing in Bangor

Samuel D. Ames aged 76 of Bangor was killed when his carriage was struck by moving freight cars at Northern Maine Junction. His wife was seriously injured with fractured ribs and collar bone, and remains hospitalized with other injuries but is expected to recover. An inquest is scheduled for Tuesday.
