Reports from London say Premier Balfour plans to dismantle his ministry and seek a direct country appeal. The rumor spreads amid intense political maneuvering and cabinet discussions.
Nov 23 reports Baron von Calice in Constantinople telegraphed Admiral Von Jedina for a portion of the international fleet to sail immediately toward Mytilene or Besika Bay. In Athens the same day the fleet was expected to sail tomorrow and foreign ministers visited commanders aboard their warships. Leaders then met on the Austrian flagship.
The Times and another leading organ hint at an imminent resignation by Premier Balfour over the Unionist fiscal rift. Mrs. Bernard Feldman of 149 Salem Street fought off a burly thief who entered her store after 3 PM and tried to chloroform her. She struck him with a stove while crying for help, attracting a upstairs worker who appeared as the robber fled. Police were notified and given a description.

Dr. EW H Nichols reports Captain Dan Hurley of the Harvard football team remains in fragile condition. Authorities at City Hospital say a brain clot is being absorbed by treatment and that no operation appears necessary unless the patient worsens.
Hurley suffers from a brain blood clot after a blow in the Dartmouth game. Doctors and his family say another hit could be life threatening. Harvard coaches prohibit risk and Hurley agrees to rest rather than play. Yale and Harvard fans sorrowful as Saturday’s outcome is uncertain.
Harvard management plans to revoke licenses and refuse to honor tickets found in speculator hands. Refund limited to original $2 price. Graduates or undergrads with such tickets can have them indorsed if they present tickets and explain before 10 am Saturday at Harvard Union Cambridge or I W Moore Boston.
Sergeant Herbert Gordon of Cambridge police charged 300 voters with illegal registration and asked for their removal. The board of registrars will meet to decide action. Gordon plans to add about 300 more next Monday. Democrats accuse the list of bias, claiming no inquiry into Republicans or independents.

In Claremont New Hampshire a man and a young woman were found dead in the woods beside Boston and Maine tracks. The couple, once married in Oakland Maine as Mr and Mrs Larry Leavitt and Alice Ward, died by self inflicted gunfire after apparent lifetimes of hardship. The scene was described as lifeless with the couple entwined and a revolver used to end both lives. Relatives have not yet been located and possessions were addressed to Mrs Mary J Leavitt of Lisbon Falls Maine.
In Ward 13 a contested ballot sparked a fuss as the recount showed seven McNamara men and seven Linehan men for the ward committee with two tied for the next spots. The election board rejected a ballot deemed an erasure, while McNamara vowed court action to resolve the dispute. Alderman Linehan criticized precinct officers over the matter.
The Mary Rogers case in Rutland fears habeas relief from the U S Supreme Court. Butler Moloney say the court might rule she was illegally held or grant a new trial. Sheriff Peck says he will execute Mary Rogers at Windsor prison on December 1 unless the court acts.
A letter from Odessa says twelve thousand people were killed over three days of rioting. Women and children were thrown from upper floors, men were killed in front of families, and girls were assaulted in daylight on the streets.
