In Tilton New Hampshire Mrs Mabel H Morrill a prominent clubwoman shot at her husband Luther H Morrill former postmaster after fears of a divorce suit. She then fatally shot herself a bullet lodged in a door frame as he escaped.
George E Smith the fourth winner in the Post Millionaire for a Day Contest enjoyed a sea scooter ride with his fiancee Ruth E Barnard as they arrived for a luncheon at the Touraine.
