Death by own action in a barn incident and local theft report

Annie Merrill of Stratham aged 20 died by her own action in a barn on Monday with no cause given. The Boston and Maine ticket office at New Durham was broken into last night with a small sum stolen, attributed to a tramp. Dover Democrats nominated Gen Alfred Hoitt for mayor after a unanimous vote 296 to 58. Silver quartz discovery noted in South Starksboro mountains

Silver quartz found in the mountains of South Starksboro is reported to resemble ore from Colorado mines. The Williams College catalogue lists 251 students including 49 seniors 56 juniors 7 sophomores 69 freshmen and two post graduates. In Worcester clerk Thomas B. Mrs. Eliza Columbus of Sunderland was sentenced to three years for attempting last August to burn the house where her husband was confined by a broken leg, saying she did it after his abuse and transfer of property to her daughter.
