Charles Zeigler of 24 Derne Street West End was killed in a pile driver mishap in railroad yards near Fargo Street South Boston yesterday morning. He was tightening a screw under the 6 ton hammer when the weight struck his head and caused instant death. He leaves a widow and child. He was 38 years old.
Hoisting and Portable Engineers' Union mourns Foreman Ziegler in South Boston yard of the New Haven railroad where a pile-driver hammer fell. The union plans to press District Attorney Moran over alleged unlicensed strike breaker from Baltimore and Sunday work without a permit.
Herbert McGlinchy 4, of 458 Main street was arrested after a quick pursuit by Patrolmen Minor and King near Tremont row. Police say he pocketed $15 from John Santulli 24 Charter street as a crowd joined the chase, lasting about a quarter mile to Court square station.

Dikeman’s poultry farm near the Lynnfield line, about three quarters of a mile from her home. Medical examiner ruled death due to exhaustion after a search by more than 100 volunteers. Her body was found behind the poultry houses, visible from the Reading railroad. She leaves four sons and a daughter. two sons live in East Boston where the body will be transported for burial beside her husband in Nova Scotia.
During Sunday service at St. Pauls colored church at Camden and Tremont streets smoke rose from the basement soon after 11 am. An alarm from Box 88 brought help. The Reverend Ferris found a minor fire from an overheated furnace and quickly extinguished it then resumed his sermon.
Lowell November 18. While answering a minor alarm Chief R. K. E. Hosmer of the fire department was thrown from his wagon and sustained three broken ribs. He swerved to avoid a woman who darted into the path. the woman escaped unharmed.
