The Rev. Charles J. Hendley rector of St. Paul’s Church and NH Grand Commandery grand prelate was found dead in his chamber at 9 am. The cause is given as apoplexy. His family resides in Kansas.
A horse and buggy owned by Benjamin Cummings of New Bedford valued at 600 dollars were stolen from his barn last Wednesday. The property was recovered in New London Connecticut yesterday and the thief was arrested.

In Curiaco Ed ward McDonald left the county jail after seventy three weeks, released on ten thousand dollar bonds. A lawyer for the boodlers notes McGarigle can now return to Chicago, shake hands with Sheriff Matson, spend ten days in jail, and be freed again. McDonald, funding McGarigle’s new trial, favored his discharge, calling the move a huge joke and indicating both men receive an absolute discharge.
Frank Craycroft former Sedalia mayor and Pettis county Democratic chairman has been missing since October 22. He was connected to the McCormick Harvesting Machine Company and last summer deeded his farm stock residence and other property to satisfy company claims. Last heard from him in St Louis on Oct 22.
