Barbe-Bleue at Boston Theatre Delights Busy Audience
Barbe-Bleue presented by Maurice Grau's French Opera Co at the Boston Theatre on a stormy night, led believably by Mile. Marie as Boulotte and Juleau as Barbe-Bleue. Capoul was absent due to weather. Duplan as King Bobeche pleased. Encores and strong supporting cast highlighted a vibrant, tasteful performance ahead of Mignon. Tonight Mlle Marie stars in Mignon with Gregoire and Capoul.
