Boy Acknowledges Fire Set For Staged Show in Dorchester

A 15 year old named Frank Leighton admitted setting fire to George Fred Williams's Dorchester home at 26 Mountain Avenue to watch the fire department respond. The blaze caused 600 in damage to the two story dwelling. He confessed after police and Fire Marshal Whitcomb's officers questioned him. He will be arraigned in Dorchester Court this morning.

In Lynn on November 17 the Democratic municipal convention nominated Walter L. Ramsdell for mayor with no opposition. Wong Ling Auck, a prominent Chinatown businessman with the W. S. Lung Company at 30 Harrison Ave, married Goon Shee in Montreal then Boston. The couple hosted a 400-guest banquet at Harrison Ave restaurants, with Wong visiting each table and gifting chams. The bride wore rich embroidered attire and a decorative fan. Wong wore silk robes and a Li Hung Chang–style hat.
