Edward D. Hayden, vice-president and secretary of the Boston and Albany railroad and a member of the Forty-ninth and Fiftieth Congresses, collapsed at the Woburn Unitarian Church during morning services after years of heart disease and apoplexy. He was moved to the church vestibule and died despite medical aid.
