Thomas Carroll of Swett street Roxbury choked his wife to death during a quarrel. He was found intoxicated and arrested by Patrolman Moran of the ninth district. The murder occurred before witnesses and Carroll will be arraigned on murder charges this morning.
John Driscoll, an old offender, was arrested.

In Brockton on November 15 the Lasters' Protective Union ordered members from all shops displaying the manufacturers' price list. About 200 lasters will be idle tomorrow, with many more idle until a new price schedule is agreed. The union demands advisory board involvement and threatens a strike if manufacturers refuse to confer. Local papers seek a meeting between manufacturers and union to resolve the dispute.
At a Prohibitory State central committee meeting A W Holt of Springfield was introduced as a capable organizer. He proposed $50 per month plus expenses and the plan to form town and city committees to canvass districts and register Prohibitionists for election day. Holt, from Ohio and now in Springfield Mass, is studying for the Methodist ministry.

Early Saturday morning burglars raided B S Lunt shop and furniture store blowing the safe and taking 200 dollars. They then accessed Sovereigns cooperative store stealing five dollars from the till and finally struck G H Southwick & Son’s provision store taking five dollars after breaking the safe. The crimes were quiet and methodical as officers Shaw Shor telle and Beverly police search for the crews.
