Quincy Men Fined $200 After East Howard Raid
In Quincy on November 14 a local court fined Frank Gonroos and his son Leonard a total of $200 after a police raid on the East Howard street store. The father paid $100 for keeping and exposing for sale intoxicants. the son $50 for selling liquor and $50 for two counts of selling renovated butter not properly marked. Officers seized 850 Jamaica ginger bottles 15 gallons of cider and several dozen bottles of a stonewall mixture.

Former athlete Hodgkins dies by suicide in Cambridge home
G Harry Hodgkins of Cambridge a former athlete and boxing figure ended his life by shooting himself four times in the breast in the basement of his 120 Berkshire Street East Cambridge home at 6 15 yesterday morning. The tragedy woke his four children and the housekeeper who found him. Hodgkins a member of the Cambridge Elks lodge was an announcer and referee at local sporting events. No motive is given though he had mourned his wife’s death for more than a year.
