London Nov 14 Turkey has formally appealed to Bulgaria for peace delaying mediation. No armistice has been concluded and disputes over terms persist. Bulgaria reportedly demands evacuation of Adrianople Scutari and Monastir as a condition while negotiations continue.

Stephen Richards, 28, a wood worker, died after an argument over a pool game at a Westfield hotel. An unknown Italian beat Richards with a pool cue then fired twice with a revolver. Police seek the gunman whose identity is not known.
