Swedish Princess May Seek Divorce in Stockholm

Negotiations are reported to be proceeding between the courts of St. Petersburg and Stockholm for the dissolution of the marriage of Prince William of Sweden and the Grand Duchess Marie Pavlovna daughter of Grand Duke Paul Alexanderovitch. The couple wed at Tsarkoe Selo in May 1908 and recent rumors spoke of domestic troubles with the princess leaving her husband.

Forty Lost In Steamer Henry B. Smith Wreck

Forty lives are reported lost in the wreck of the 60 foot steel freight steamer Henry B. Smith of Cleveland in Lake Superior near Marquette Michigan. One body has washed ashore and wreckage on the beach identified the ship. The Smith owned by Hawgood Avery Transit line carried 11 000 tons of iron ore.

Daniel McCue of Roxbury escaped from the State farm carrying a heavy hammer. He struck Watchman Light who tried to stop him and rifled his pockets taking about $10. As of 8 pm he had not been captured.

Escape and Assault During Farm Work Escape

The gang was led to work at State Farm when McCue escaped between 4 and oclock. Two night watchmen chased him. he vanished into woods south of the farm. A blow with a hammer injured Light on the head and left eye as McCue fled, stealing about $10. Light was taken home, weak but not fatally hurt.

Moulder badly burned by molten metal in Wakefield foundry

Axtel Anderson, a moulder at Smith and Anthony Company foundry, Wakefield, fell into a pouring spout of molten iron at 3 30 pm while working with another moulder. He was dragged out and taken home in a precarious condition. His wife recently gave birth.

Police linked the arrest of Francis E. Cocks, a diamond broker, to withholding gems entrusted by another broker. He says he gave the diamonds to a young woman to sell who has been missing since Oct 31. Brokers report diamonds sold on commission and about 9000 dollars worth were found in pawn shops. The woman is described as about three years old and handsome, often carrying large sums in diamonds.

Two Boys Arrested by Providence Police

Mary Joyce a 12 year old South Boston girl was shot and killed on a vacant Athens Street lot near the railroad bridge. Thomas Foley and Christopher Harris were arrested in Providence chased from a Boston New York freight train while armed with 32 caliber revolvers. They claim the shot was accidental and did not know the victim. a third boy escaped. They are held for Boston police as investigations continue.

Forty sailors and stewards from the United States battleship fleet arrived in Venice, Italy, on November 12 and spent the day sightseeing. They will depart tomorrow for Florence.
