Salem to Boston Train Collision Kills Man Near Castle Hill

A Dyer operated 5:17 train from Salem to Boston struck and instantly killed James P. Hanley of Lawrence. The victim, about 38, suffered severe injuries including skull fracture and multiple limb losses. The Marblehead train took the body to Salem for identification. Hanley had two married sisters in Lawrence.
