Deputy Marshal Warren Suspended Over Drunkenness and Neglect

Deputy Marshal Warren faces suspension after charges of drunkenness and neglect of duty. Allegations claim he drank at the Lafayette House in Salem with a Lynn acquaintance, removed his belt and club, and attracted comment while intoxicated. A reinstatement is uncertain. Political notes report an Independent Ward Three club with officers A. A. Carleton, N. E. Moulton, Frank Davis, and F. W. Jones planning daily room access and campaign literature ahead of the Presidential election. A barn fire at J. M. Barnett’s premises caused about unknown damage when his four year old son reportedly started it. A tractor carriage runaway on Nahant Street injured Mrs. Clough and damaged the puggy when the carriage collided with an object.
