Explosions at Flint Creek sewer damaged much of Huntington as three workers Hartman Keefer and Flynn died after a 50 pound dynamite box near the fire. Ten others were nearby and many homes within two blocks were wrecked. Hartman was hurled 300 feet and killed instantly. Keefer died minutes later. Flynn survived for hours.
