Bullet found in New Paltz man after 70 years

Thomas Geiselhart of Houk Hill New Paltz coughed up a bullet that had remained in his body since the spring of 1872. The Prussian cavalry officer recalled being shot in the left breast near the close of the Pe nian War and had long endured difficulties locating the projectile. He now expects to live many more years as his health improves.

Graft Trial for 10-Year-Old Girl at Methodist Hospital

Army post library network grows into nation wide system

Miss Gould has donated over a thousand new books and fittings worth more than 2000 dollars to create a circulating library across army posts. The collection includes travel works biographies novels hymns and Bibles and will move between posts in America Cuba Porto Rico the Hawaiian Islands Guam and the Philippines. A permanent secretary for the army branch of the Young Men’s Christian Association on Liberty Island will be funded by her subscription.
