Drawn together by art, Joy Aldrich of Allston and Harrison G. Prentice of Worcester left home yesterday without informing relatives. A marriage license stamped with both names was found hidden in Prentice's pocket, indicating a planned union.
Friends of the couple say they found in each other a deep affinity and chose to marry after their parents objected to the match on grounds of youth, letting love drive the decision.
The romance between 19 year old Worcester artist Prentice and Miss Aldrich unfolds amid art circles. Prentice, owner of Standish Hotel shares wealth and Harvard education.
