Consuelo Vanderbilt Marries Duke of Marlborough in Glowing Church Ceremony
The wedding at St Thomas's unites Consuelo Vanderbilt and Charles Spencer-Churchill in a grand affair. Guests include British officials, New York society, and the Vanderbilt family. The ceremony features a royal procession, lush flower decor, Handel and Mendelssohn music, and a rose scented breakfast at the Vanderbilt mansion. The couple plan a private carriage to Idle Hour for a brief honeymoon on Long Island before visiting Blenheim.
