In district court A A Green faced felonious assault charges after indecent assault was nolle pressed. He was held in 3000 bond on felonious assault and 500 on assault and battery. Victim Alfred Kierstead, a small boy, suffered two bad scalp wounds.
Henry K. Goodwin was arraigned at Salem yesterday charged with the murder of Albert D. Swan. Generals Butler and Colonel Sweeney appeared for the prisoner. In answer to the indictment he said I did it and always said I did it. A plea of not guilty was entered. The Judge postponed the trial until cc. 28,710 decided whether the case should be removed to Lawrence. It is believed a plea of insanity will be entered.
Late night on Wynderstreet George J. Smith was assaulted by Arthur Nevill. Nevill struck Smith in the face breaking his nose in two places exposing bone. Patrolmen Abbott and Pinkerton arrested Nevill and Dr. Parker treated the injuries.
A cyclone moved northwest through Prirrshire County this afternoon causing extensive property damage by unroofing houses and barns. No fatalities have been reported so far, authorities say.

James G. Fales, 35, of Montrose Street Somerville, fired two shots at his heart yesterday morning, missing by a quarter inch. Dr. Couch removed the bullets. Fales remains in critical condition.
John Cotter of Salem and Jerry Casey of South Boston raced three miles on the Charles River with Casey using a lighter craft and facing a handicap.
