Mrs Frank Hoppe Shows Billiard Skill in Boston
Mrs Frank Hoppe of Cornwall on the Hudson New York demonstrates remarkable billiard ability in Boston exhibitions. Eight months earlier she struggled to hit the cue ball, but now she runs 48 and performs fancy shots. She credits practice and says billiards keep her healthy, with strong wrists arms and back and sharpened eyes and nerves. Her 12 year old son Willie, a billiardist since he was small, has runs of 47% and 156 and will face top players next week at the Hub rooms.

Their Off Day Readville Racing Fails to Impress
The Readville track event saw Boralma and Senator L. fail to threaten the mile record after a week of strong form. Burlington Boy and Lottie Fallis produced a striking three heat race, with best time 2:18 ¼, while Cold Cash and Helen Gould mirrored easy pacing. A nervous drive by John Shepard and stretched reins contributed to the unsettled day, ending without official times for the main heat.
