At patrons request we made a small batch of leather jackets for boys ages ten to fourteen. We have produced over ten thousand leather jackets for men and market leaders, wind proof and durable. The new boys jackets will be sold at a low price and retail for three to four dollars this season. Samples of material and measurement rules mailed on request.

Nassau, N H Nov 2 Mrs C Hamlin about 60 years old committed death by own action this morning by drowning at Sandy pond. Insanity is supposed to be the cause. She has a son in Pepperell Mass. The body was found in the water by passersby.
St Johnsbury Vermont marked its centennial with a noon ceremony and a South Church gathering. Rev. E T Sanford led prayer, while Rev Edward T Fairbanks recounted town origins including George III cession, Dunmore, Vermont naming, and early settlers led by Jonathan Arnold.

Totopo Nov 2 The United States Express Company reports a new robbery on a through express car from Chicago to New York. Packages containing valuable merchandise were opened and stolen in transit. Detectives and superintendents Cone and Charlesworth meet with company officials to uncover the perpetrators.
New York reports Surveyor Beattie is much improved after being shot by two discharged customs inspectors. Doctors say the ball remains unfound, no internal hemorrhage noted, and the patient had a comfortable night under morphine. Visitors included Naval Officer Silas Burt and Thomp son’s father. a sympathy message came from Secretary Manning.
A major blaze in Boothbay last night destroyed several structures and stock. Losses include Roscoe Ingraham’s iron store and shop, J. Blair’s building, Fred Harris billiard hall, Joseph Nickerson’s store and tin shop, Gardner Tibbets barber and bath rooms, Nathan Hodgdon fruit stand, James Poole sailmaker and Poole sail stock, with insured partial coverage. Estimated totals reach into the thousands across multiple owners.
In Marlboro on November 2 George G. Davis reports his store was entered last night with the safe blown open and about 5400 stolen. A neighboring town safe contained more money but was left untouched.
