Cleveland won 7 to 1 over Detroit in six innings. In the National League Brooklyn edged Boston 5 to 2 in game one, while Boston won 3 to 0 in game two. Philadelphia beat New York 5 to 2. Pittsburg-St Louis and Chicago-Cincinnati games were rained out.
