NC4 Seaplane To Resume 775 Mile Atlantic Leg

The NC4 seaplane commanded by Lieutenant-Commander A C Read will not start the final lap to Plymouth tomorrow due to awaiting favorable conditions from Lisbon. The aircraft, in excellent condition, completed the transatlantic crossing yesterday and is expected to cover about 775 miles in roughly nine hours, with continuation noted on Page 12.

Man shoots wife at ball in Mansfield

Leroy Trout 22 of Taunton fired four shots from a .32 caliber revolver at his wife Florence during a Town Hall ball in Mansfield. She was taken to Morton Hospital in Taunton in critical condition. Trout was arrested. police say jealousy sparked the incident.
