Prices eased yesterday but selling grew less aggressive as the market quieted. A cut in steel prices remained the chief bear argument with talk of 71 cents on steel rails, the first such cut since the Steel Trust formation. Large blocks of Steel common, Reading and Union Pacific weakened, while buyers were described as largely unknown outsiders amid uncertain intrinsic values.
