Tragic Triple Accidents Report 17 Dead 55 Injured

A total of 17 people died in three separate accidents last night or early this morning. Fifty five others were injured in incidents in Baltimore and Augusta Georgia and Canton Ohio where a coal car electrocuted, a two electric collision, and a train struck a carriage.

Ten persons are reported dead and 50 injured after two trolley cars collide returning from Westport near Baltimore. The braking failure caused the last car to crash into the standing car at the bottom of a steep grade. Open summer cars limited further fatalities.

Four Die After Train Collision Near Canton Ohio

Four people including Mr Gust Miller of Louisville Ohio and Mrs Howell and daughter Anna of South Bend Indiana were struck by a Pennsylvania Railroad passenger train while riding and killed instantly. The three women were found on the engine front and Miller's body was recovered further back by the crew.

Three Dead Five Injured in Georgia Collision

Three men were killed and five injured when a passenger trolley collided with a Louisville and Nashville coal car on the Augusta and Aiken railway. The coal car broke away from the motor car, gained momentum, and smashed the lighter trolley into kindling wood on a wooded stretch near Augusta on the South Carolina side of the Savannah River.

Trustees Hold Executive Session At City Hospital
