Paris auto race of burns ends in Roxbury tragedy
Miss Elizabeth McManus, 24, of 28 Burrill street Roxbury, died at City Hospital after a gas flame curtain blaze in her room. A gust of wind touched the curtains, setting her dress alight and she suffered extensive burns before her brothers could help. She had inhaled flames and died after over 24 hours of suffering.
