Fort McHenry Developments and Butler Movement

A large number of new gun carriages arrived at Fort McHenry aboard the Spaulding. Two Kentucky regiments were sent to Point of Rocks and were entrenching there. A significant quantity of powder was seized in Baltimore and moved to Fort McHenry. Gen. Butler left Fortress Monroe with 4000 men aboard a propeller to Lyndhaven. Additional batteries were found near Norfolk.
