Crescent Beach Bath House to Raise Price to 25 Cents

The Metropolitan Park Commission plans to raise Crescent Beach bath house price to 25 cents for adults while keeping children’s rate at 10 cents and towel and room components at 15 cents. Washington May 23 Judge Advocate General Lemly has received the list of sailors from the Texas ship who were convicted of striking a person in the Navy car Berge and prejudicing good order. The group includes coxswain James Faney seamen John Romagna apprentices Sievert Burke and others. Sentences range from six months to twelve months in the naval prison. they will continue service at the naval palace at Beaten.

Chicago May 23. By a vote 433 to 38 the Methodist General Conference abolished the time limit on pastorates ending the itinerant system. Preachers will be appointed annually by bishops with no fixed tenure. The bishop’s right to assign remains, and pastors may serve longer at congregation’s request. Fraternal greetings were exchanged with the Presbyterian General Assembly in St Louis.

Reunion fete marks 49th anniversary of Boston YM C U

The Boston Young Men's Christian Union celebrated its forty ninth anniversary with a reception at 48 Boylston Street last evening. President William H. Baldwin and the board welcomed guests in the president's room as all departments opened to visitors. A Beacon Orchestral Club concert, Tufts College Mandolin and Guitar Club performances, and an informal gym display entertained attendees. Drawings from class work were shown, with Eaton Hall and the library also open. Over 2000 past and present members, friends, clergy, and laypeople attended to renew friendships.
