George F. Morse Jr of Franklin Park Zoo calls a baby hippo from Philadelphia “the most wonderful pet hippopotamus in the world” as he returns from a two day visit. The story notes plans by New England children to bring the animal to Boston.

Private John Lawthorn of the United States Marine Corps stationed at Quantico was arrested on a warrant charging him with the murder of Ralph W.
