Blaney testifies in Dorchester Yacht Club case in Boston
Arthur H. Blaney, freed from state prison, arrives in Boston to testify in the Dorchester Yacht Club versus Massachusetts Loan Company suit before Judge Parmenter in municipal civil court. Blaney had been convicted in 1883 of embezzling about 44000 from the loan firm and sentenced to seven years. He served as loan company employee and yacht club treasurer, depositing club funds with International Trust Company and temporarily covering a 700 shortfall with 500 from the trust and 200 from another source. the yacht club sues for recovery of its deposited funds, Parmenter reserving decision.
