Dublin urged to reveal information on murders

Lord Spencer, lord lieutenant of Ireland, told a Dublin corporation deputation that fear and sympathy hinder truth gathering, delaying justice for murder suspects. He warned that administering extraordinary powers is heavy but necessary and appealed to loyal citizens for aid, insisting powers target secret societies, not the public.

Widows Sought for Housekeeping Posts in Perhaa

Morrison of Perhaa in Aroostook county asks widows to contact him about four to six housekeeping positions at Swantoone, a 50 year old, healthy, good looking, well built, pleasant and affectionate woman interests. Trains Cross New Bridge. Fatal Fire. Mining Sale

Trains run regularly over the new iron bridge at Bellow's Falls. In Swanton a man identified as Lewis Brow was fatally burned when a spark from a stove set his clothes aflame. The Vermont Copper Mining Company of Ely sold property to a New York engineer named Cozio and others for about $500,000, with plans to form a new mining firm. Jeremiah 8. Frost, jailed at St. Albans for extradition on highway robbery and murder charges in Canada, and Sabin, jailed for a small debt, escaped by digging through a wall with a fire poker and other items. Flood remained jailed on larceny charges and did not escape. Frost is described as dangerous.
