World famous violinist Remenyi collapses on San Francisco stage

Edouard Remenyi, 64, renowned violin virtuoso, collapsed and died on the Orpheum Theatre stage in San Francisco after a climactic performance. He had just played Delibes and "Old Glory" as 3000 auditors rose in applause. Remenyi had arrived from St. Louis and planned vaudeville appearances with his Stradivarius.
