Carnival Parade and Halleck Statue Dedication in New York

A new bank named Sec ond National Bank was organized in Manchester on Tuesday with Aretas Blood Josiah Carpenter and others elected as Directors. Blood and Carpenter later named Cashier. A Nashua Acton Boston Railroad annual meeting chose a diverse board led by Brigham Moulton and Dearborn with officers Brigham president Moulton vice president Cook treasurer Goodrich clerk. A Portsmouth visit saw a Sheriff served trustee process on Paymaster Hobbs from Merchants National Bank of Salem, with another man linked to outside parties similarly processed.

Arsenic Poisoning Strikes Sixty Miners in Streator Ill

About sixty miners at Vermilion Coal Company's shaft No 2 in Streator became violently ill after arsenic appeared in tea and coffee served from the boarding house. The strike had paused work, with Americans, Scots, Germans, and Swedes affected while Irish workers escaped. Vessels in Magdalen herring fishery near Halifax
