Superior Court Justices Nominated for New Court
The Executive Council met to act on nominations for Justices of the new Superior Court created by last Legislature. Governor nominates Charles Allen, Julius Rockwell, Otis P Lord, Marcus Morton Jr, Ezra Wilkinson, John A Andrew, Henry Vose, Seth Ames, James D Colt, Thomas Russell and others with eleven old bench members leaving. The new court begins July 1 with salaries of 3700 for Chief Justice and 3500 for each Associate Justice.
