Fire at Bedford Place Gutted Three Story Building
Inspector George E B Costello traced a small blaze in No 4 Bedford Place rear of Nos 34 and 36 Bedford Street. The fire, confined to a wooden three story building, gutted the structure and caused under 500 in damage. Nearby offices and the Midway Arcade were dampened by hose lines but escaped major damage. Fire alarms from box 48 and surrounding watches brought a quick response from Deputy Chief Reagan and the fire brigade.
