Montreal May 11 The Minister of Finance announced the budget with imports at 45 million dollars and exports at 41 million. Duties rise on whiskey to 30 cents per gallon for Canadian whiskey and 50 cents for foreign whiskey, plus 15 cents on brandy gin rum cordials wine. Tobacco duties set for July 1 including Cavendish plug 10 cents and tobacco 15 cents and cigars priced 200 to 500 or 1000. Stamp duty 3 cents per 100 on notes and 1 cent on exchange bills.
