A storm at WiturAmsport Penn on May 10 battered Barnum's Circus tents with the main tent panicking crowds as it shook. Dressing room and menagerie tents collapsed and three animal cages were overturned. Elephants and other animals added to the noise while several performers were injured but none fatally. Damage to the show is estimated at 10,000 dollars.
