Senate Recommits Rail Transport Resolve to Committee
In the Senate yesterday the measure on cheap railway travel was discussed at length and recommitted to the Railway Committee to report a bill for uniform two cent per mile rail fares. In the House a resolve to ballot on a Constitutional Convention at the 1872 election was substituted for the report, and the report on tax abolition was accepted as expedient or inexpedient.
