Goulds Moneye Reports Castleane Buy Versailles Site

Paris reports Count de Castellane and Anna Gould have purchased land at avenue de Malakoff to recreate the Grand Trianon at Versailles with gardens and noble rooms. The plan includes recreating famed salons and the Maintenon rooms, funded by Gould dollars. Gardens would be elaborate. Versailles fountains cost 2000 dollars for twenty minutes.

Reverend Abbott Hurt In West End Car Fire Incident

Dr T A Bland witnessed a man ejected from a West End open car on Boylston street as a fire broke out. The injured Rev Andrew J Abbott 38, of 1010 Boylston street, was carried to Dr Lighthill's home with bruised hip and leg and shock from the crash. Abbott remains under care and is not currently attached to a congregation.

East Boston Dramatic Fair Draws Large Crowd

The Unitarian Church of East Boston hosted the closing night of a fair and festival by the Ladies of the Union Circle. East Boston amateur artists performed a musical program and the two act comedy Elm Farm written by Frederick Knell was staged by the church drama club. It debuted last night and was a decided hit.

For the quarter ended March 31 1895 the Boston and Maine shows gross revenues of 83 907 726 a rise of 263 944 from last year while operating expenses climb 286 834 to 2 637 825 net 1 174 901 a drop from prior periods but surplus 96 912 up 311. Nine month figures improve with gross earnings 12 978 516 up 555 765 costs 8 460 975 up 114 071 net 4 517 541 up 441 694 surplus 1 303 690 up 495 247. South Middlesex ministers vote to end town hosting custom

In Fram ingham May 9 the South Middlesex conference of Congregational ministers voted to discontinue the sixty five year practice of hosting sessions in different towns with expenses borne by the entertaining minister. From now on all sessions will be held at South Framingham and expenses borne by the association. The American Wringer Co. advertises wringers mangles spring beds and carpet sweepers with repairs and mail service. Tremont 764.
