Remarkable Navy Flighton First Leg of Transatlantic Route

Navy aviators NC-3 and NC-1 completed the first leg of a great transatlantic flight arriving at Halifax at 1 PM after leaving Rockaway Point Long Island at 10 AM. They traveled about 525 miles at roughly 60 miles per hour and used wireless telephone to talk to each other and maintain contact with Washington via radio.
