Elise Hagerman Depew wife of Chauncey M Depew died at 12 30 PM at her home 43 West Fifty fourth Street New York Her death follows a short period of illness she had long devoted time to charity and church work including presiding over the Women s Association of Hahnemann Hospital Her son Chauncey Depew Jr aged 14 and multiple relatives were at her bedside The Depews married in 1871 and she was descended from prominent New York families.
