Baltimore inventor claims a new plan will dispose of the submarine problem in three to four months. Preliminary tests reportedly prove success, with the Naval Problems Board chairman stating satisfactory progress on the scheme.

Ready to dispatch first detachment within six weeks pending Washington approval. If needed the entire mobilization cost can be covered by private funds.
John M. Minton, politics chairman of the Boston Election Commission, died at his Forest Hills home yesterday after two decades as a prominent Boston political figure. Survived by colleagues and long service noted in tributes.
Mr Minton aged longtime local figure, born in Jamaica Plain March 23. He graduated Harvard College 184, Harvard Law School 1896, served in the State Legislature 1899 1900, and held several city posts under Mayor Collins Curley. Funeral Tuesday at 10 am at St Thomas Church Jamaica Plain with high mass. Burial in St Josephs Cemetery West Roxbury.
National League games saw St Louis defeat Cincinnati 4 0 and Chicago beat Pittsburgh 3 to none. American League results include St Louis edging Chicago 8 to 4 in the first game and 3 to 0 in the second. Detroit Cleveland rain delayed play.

Officials expect a large electorate of moderate earners to invest in Liberty Bonds. Denominations and payment plans will be announced soon.
