Week 1 Furniture Sale At Office Timed For Saturday

On Saturday at 9 o'clock the usual Week 1 sale of household furniture takes place at the office. Items include sofas parlor chairs tables looking glasses lamps timepieces china glass and crockery ware secretaries book cases ward robes feather beds mattresses bedsteads stoves and other household goods. At 11 o'clock piano fortes and incidental articles will be offered along with watches and fowling pieces.

Gardiner Bail Declared Formited in Washington Trial

Indicted for perjury, John Charles Gardiner failed to appear for trial before the criminal court at Washington. bail of twelve thousand dollars was declared forfeited and he is said to have fled to Cuba three weeks earlier. A Hartford migrant in Liberia's daguerreotyping trade, a colored artist named Washington, sent back five hundred dollars from a single month’s profits.
