Our Credit By This War and Treasury Expenditures
The discussion argues our credit has risen due to war victories enabling larger money market sums on better terms. Mr Atherton explains the 1846 1847 Treasury state with a correction of Gallatin era errors, noting how expenditures and means imply the deficiency needing treasury notes and loans. He credits initiative from Mr Hunter and outlines the specific figures involved.

Caricatures and European liberty satire in Panch
The page showcases a caricature of a craftsman delivering a charter petition to the queen's residence. A footman, Lord John Russell, jokes about creditors as a crowd witnesses a revolutionary tableau. It mocks republican antics and lampoons the tree of liberty in Paris with notes on public celebrations and provisional government bans.

Funeral of Mr Muzzey in Lexington
The funeral of the late Benj Muzzey Esq took place in Lexington on Sunday afternoon week and was well attended by relatives and friends from Boston and the city. Muzzey was highly esteemed for his contributions to the town and his family. his loss is viewed as irreparable. Our friend Wm C Jenkins, furniture dealer, recovered a wallet containing $1000 in bills and notes totaling about $2000 from an old bureau sold by a man who forgot the wallet in the drawer.
