More than 4000 men are under arms in Massachusetts in the National Guard. The Sixth Regiment, the latest Bay State unit ordered out, has nearly completed mobilization. This morning 1173 enlisted men and 56 officers under Colonel Warren E. Sweetser answer roll call at armories. Recruits arrive rapidly and peace strength is expected to be reached today. Together with the Ninth and Second regiments already mobilized, the total National Guard force in Massachusetts nears 4300.
