A Pittsburg man Hippolyte Schneider waded into Goat Island water and shot himself three times. He fell over the Cave of the Winds and drowned. Third Victim Dead in Calais Murder Suicide
In Calais Maine an eight year old boy, son of Fred Reynolds, died last night after Reynolds murdered his wife and two sons and fatally injured a third child. A coroner inquest at Red Beach returned a verdict that Mrs Reynolds and the two boys died at Reynolds hands. Reynolds, held in the city jail, appeared rational today after yesterday's violence and doctors say he is mentally unsound.
