A Boston and Maine mud slide between Keene New Hampshire and Bellows Falls Vermont covers more than six feet of mud for over 100 feet at Mud Cut, about four miles from Keene. Section men halted a passenger train before it reached the slide.
Jeremiah Sullivan a Cambridge contractor and father of twins Mike and Jack died yesterday at 62 after a two year illness of heart trouble. Funeral services will be Sunday at St Peter's Church Cambridge with burial at Waltham. He helped lay out Soldiers Field at Harvard and worked on major Greater Boston contracts.
